Login Issues

Most login problems fall into three buckets: the wrong email, the verification code, or browser settings. This article covers each.

Your email address is your username. If you have more than one address, log in with the one the account was created under.

This is the most common cause of “my password isn’t working” — the password is fine, the account is a different one.

On the login screen, click Forgot Password. Enter your email and follow the reset link that arrives.

If the email doesn’t arrive:

  • Check spam and junk
  • Confirm you typed the address correctly
  • Wait a few minutes — delivery isn’t always instant
  • Confirm the account exists under that address

Lesix Games uses two-factor authentication. After your email and password, a 6-digit code is emailed to you.

You won’t be asked for one every time — the system remembers your device for a period, and re-verifies occasionally.

  • Check spam and junk first; this is usually where it is
  • Confirm the email on your account is correct and current
  • Wait a couple of minutes and request a new one
  • Check whether your email provider is delaying delivery generally
  • Codes expire. Request a fresh one rather than reusing an old email
  • Use the most recent code if you requested several — older ones stop working
  • Check for a typo, especially transposed digits

Cookies must be enabled. Login state is stored in a cookie. Blocking cookies means you can’t stay logged in, and sometimes can’t log in at all.

Private/incognito mode logs you out when the window closes. Fine occasionally, frustrating as a habit.

Extensions — privacy and script-blocking extensions can interfere with login. Test in a private window, where extensions are usually disabled. If login works there, an extension is the cause.

Stale session. If you’re stuck in a loop where login appears to succeed but drops you back, clear cookies for the site and try again.

Sessions expire. Being asked to log in again after a period of inactivity is normal.

If it happens constantly — every few minutes — that points to cookies being cleared, either by a browser setting or an extension.

If you can’t get in and the reset email isn’t arriving, contact support with:

  • The email address on the account
  • What you’ve already tried
  • Any error message, quoted exactly
  • Whether the reset email arrives at all

Pro subscribers have priority support with responses within 24 hours.

If you’re teaching on an unfamiliar machine, log in before class starts, not at the moment you need the game. A verification code that takes three minutes to arrive is a very long three minutes with a room watching.
