Install Claude Code
Claude Code is the engine your business operating system runs on. It lives inside your editor as an extension.
Install the extension
Section titled “Install the extension”- Open your editor — VS Code, Cursor, or Antigravity
- Find the Extensions panel on the left sidebar. The icon is four squares: three connected, one floating.
- In the search bar at the top of that panel, type Claude Code
- Click Install
A new icon appears on the left sidebar — a sparkle or star. That is Claude Code.
Search for “Claude Code” exactly. Not “Claude”, not “Anthropic”.
You need a paid subscription
Section titled “You need a paid subscription”Claude Code requires a paid Anthropic plan. There is no free tier that runs it.

No Anthropic account yet? Go to claude.ai, sign up, and subscribe. Current pricing is on their site.
Sign in
Section titled “Sign in”Click the Claude Code icon on the left sidebar. It shows a sign-in button. Click it, authorise in the browser window that opens, then return to your editor.
If a browser window asks you to “Open Visual Studio Code” — click Allow or Open.
This is not claude.ai
Section titled “This is not claude.ai”Claude.ai is a chat that starts fresh every time. Claude Code runs inside your editor and has persistent memory — it reads your business files and remembers your context across every conversation.
