What are the seven personality questions about?
Section titled “What are the seven personality questions about?”How you prefer to receive hard truths, what helps when you are stuck, what your best advisor was like, what AI gets wrong about you, how you make decisions, whether the system should connect business to personal impact, and any non-negotiables.
They build soul.md — the layer that shapes how the system communicates with you from then on.
Can I change my soul.md later?
Section titled “Can I change my soul.md later?”Yes. Tell the system “I want to update my soul.md.” It can re-ask specific questions, or you can just tell it what to change.
It also refines over time by observing how you actually communicate.
The questions feel too broad or vague
Section titled “The questions feel too broad or vague”The opening question is deliberately broad — “tell me about the people you serve.” The follow-ups get specific based on what you say.
If they still feel vague, give more detailed answers. The system designs each round from the previous one. Thin answers produce thin questions.
It identified a different constraint than I expected
Section titled “It identified a different constraint than I expected”This is the system working correctly.
The diagnostic distinguishes between what you think the problem is and what the pattern of your answers suggests it is. Layer 1 exists for exactly this moment — you and the system work through the disagreement until you are aligned.
If you genuinely believe it got it wrong, say so. It will show its reasoning and you can push back.
I said “I don’t know” a lot — is this still useful?
Section titled “I said “I don’t know” a lot — is this still useful?”Yes. “I don’t know” is diagnostic data.
If you do not know your expenses, that says something about your financial visibility. If you do not know where your last five transactions came from, that says something about your pipeline awareness.
The gaps are as informative as the answers.
It is taking too long
Section titled “It is taking too long”The full five rounds take about 15–20 minutes. Significantly longer usually means either very long answers (fine — it uses all of it) or a lot of back-and-forth between rounds.
The system is designed to synthesise after each round and move on. If it seems stuck, say: “Let’s move to the next round.”
Can I re-run the diagnostic later?
Section titled “Can I re-run the diagnostic later?”Yes: “Re-run the diagnostic.”
Your previous one is saved in diagnostics/root-cause-analysis.md and the new one does not overwrite it. If you want both preserved cleanly, rename the old file with a date prefix first.
