How do I connect Perplexity for research?

Get an API key from docs.perplexity.ai, then run:

claude mcp add perplexity --env PERPLEXITY_API_KEY="your_key_here" -- npx -y @perplexity-ai/mcp-server

Optionally create a research sub-agent — see .claude/agents/README.md in your own system.

This is usually the highest-value first integration.

How do I connect my CRM?

Ask: “Help me connect [CRM name] to this system.”

If your CRM has an MCP server, Claude Code can walk you through it. If it only has an API, that is a more technical setup that may need developer help or paid support.

Sub-agents are not working

Check three things:

The file is in .claude/agents/
It has valid YAML front matter — name and description are both required
The model is one your plan supports. If you specified model: haiku and your plan does not include it, the agent fails. Try model: sonnet.

Restart your Claude Code session after adding new agent files — they are read at session start.
