Going Deeper

You do not need to understand TOC at an academic level to use the system. It applies the methodology for you — the diagnostic runs the Current Reality Tree through conversation, and the change sequence walks the rest step by step.

What helps is understanding why it behaves the way it does: why five rounds of questions instead of jumping to advice, why it will not let you skip from diagnosis to execution, why it checks agreement at every transition, why it asks what could go wrong before building the plan, why it focuses on one constraint instead of fixing everything.

It is not trying to slow you down. It is making sure that when you act, you act on the right thing, in the right direction, with the risks addressed, on a plan that is feasible and worth doing.

The Theory of Constraints was created by Dr. Eli Goldratt. This system applies it; it does not represent Dr. Goldratt or any TOC certifying body.
