Connecting External Tools
As the system matures you may want it connected to outside services.
Perplexity for research
Section titled “Perplexity for research”Gives the system the ability to search the web and pull current information into your context.
This is the highest-value first connection for most people. Setup instructions are in .claude/agents/README.md inside your own system, and there is a walkthrough in Tools and integrations.
Google Workspace
Section titled “Google Workspace”Calendar, email, and Drive.
Your CRM
Section titled “Your CRM”Ask the system: “Help me connect my CRM to this system” and name the CRM. If it has an MCP server, it can walk you through it. If it only has an API, that is a more technical setup and may need help.
Add one at a time
Section titled “Add one at a time”Start with research. Add others as you actually need them, not in advance — every connection is a thing that can break, and a system with four broken connections is worse than one with a single working one.
