Open Your Folder in the Editor

Now we connect the folder from step 1 to the editor from step 2.

1. In your editor, click File, then Open Folder — on Mac it may just say Open
2. Navigate to the folder you created and select it
3. Click Open
4. If asked “Do you trust the authors of the files in this folder?” — click Yes, I trust the authors

Your editor now shows the folder name in the left sidebar. It is empty. That is correct.

Why the trust prompt appears

Editors ask this before running anything from a folder. It is your own empty folder, so there is nothing to distrust. You will not see the prompt again for this folder.
